The Hazardous Materials Technician course is an introduction to the methodologies, concepts and skills required of operating at a Hazardous Materials incident at the level of offensive actions in accordance with NFPA 472: Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents & with the State of Indiana, IDHS guidelines.

 

Course Goal

The goal of this course is to provide the student with an overview of the knowledge and skills necessary to operate safely & efficiently at a Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction incident. This course will establish the foundation for future advance learning & skills in the subject of Hazardous Materials.

The District is pleased to announce a Hazmat Technician class will start Monday, June 12th, 2017 promptly at 6:00 pm.

The class will cover the state material for the HazMat Technician certification.

Classes will be held on Monday's and Wednesday's starting at 6:00 pm with one Saturday and it will start at 8:00 am will last until done for the day.

 

The Official class calendar will be issued the first night of class but the dates are as follows:
June 12th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, 28th

July 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th, 26th, 29th, 31st.


All testing will be online so you will need access to a Laptop for the test night.

Classroom sessions (including the first night) will be held at:

The classroom sessions will be simulcast over webinar if you can not make it to Camden.
